Car Insurance - product features and benefits

Not only do we believe that we can help to keep your insurance costs down, but we also want to automatically include in your standard cover several benefits that some other insurers may charge extra for. For additional peace of mind, you can select an optional extensive Breakdown Cover that provides you with immediate assistance at the roadside so that you will be protected even from minor unexpected events.

Comprehensive cover

We’ve included some of the key features and benefits of cover in the table below. Please click here if you would like further information about comprehensive cover.

 

  • Uninsured Loss Recovery and Legal Expenses worth up to £100,000
    In the event of a non-fault claim we will enable you to recover your uninsured losses, for example your excess. Underwritten and administered by DAS.
  • Unlimited Audio, Satellite and Communication cover
    We will provide you with unlimited cover for any manufacturer fitted audio, satellite or communication device fitted as standard to your car.

  • Replacement locks and keys
    If your car keys are lost or stolen we will pay £500 to replace your keys and car locks.
  • Personal accident cover worth up to £10,000
    If you are involved in an accident, whilst driving your insured car, we will provide you and your passenger with personal accident cover.
  • Courtesy car
    If your car is off the road following an accident, you won't have to be. We provide a complimentary courtesy car as standard whilst yours is being repaired by an approved repairer.

Breakdown Assistance (optional)

The following table features the benefits you get if you upgrade your policy by adding Breakdown Assistance. Please click here if you want to know more about breakdown cover.

 

Breakdown Assistance and Recovery £30.45 (just under 60p a week)
This cover will provide you with 30 minutes roadside assistance if you breakdown more than a 1/4 of a mile from your home address. If your car is not repairable at the side of the road your car will be taken back to your home or the nearest garage within 25 miles.

Home-Call £40.95 (just under 80p a week)
In addition to the benefits provided by Breakdown Assistance and Recovery, Home-Call will help you if you breakdown within a 1/4 mile radius of your home, or even on your driveway.

Nationwide Breakdown Recovery service £61.95 (just under £1.20 a week)
This cover will provide you with all of the following benefits in addition to the benefits offered by the Breakdown Assistance and Recovery, and Home-Call options:

  • Home-Call – help if you break down within a 1/4 mile radius of home, or on your driveway.
  • Recovery to any UK destination if your vehicle can’t be repaired at the roadside.
  • Chauffeur service if the driver is ill/injured and cannot drive

European Assistance £82.95 (just under £1.60 a week)
Ideal if you take your car to Europe. This option will provide you with all of the benefits offered by the 3 previous Breakdown Assistance options plus:

  • Cover for breakdown, accident, fire and theft in the European Union.
  • Recovery to your original destination or up to 5 nights accommodation (up to £45 per person) whilst your car is repaired, or up to £750 towards car hire costs.
  • Delivery of spare parts.
  • Returning your car to the UK if it can’t be repaired (provided the cost does not exceed current UK market value of your car). The policy does not place any limits on ‘Chauffeur service’ or ‘Delivery of spare parts’.
